Putnam County Digital Tours and Stories Project (Adults) In-Person
Join us for this student presentation about a Ball State University educational project aimed at preserving the history of Putnam County, Indiana. The project resulted in a website consisting of original research, images, maps, and stories which come together to showcase the legacy of the past.
Students used both primary and secondary sources to research the history of Putnam County, its people, and events. Creating a digital space for this project opened opportunities to utilize video, audio, and photo resources and to reach a wider audience. In the collaborative process with the Putnam County Historical Society, students explored the society's resources and interpreted them in innovative ways. These innovations include multimedia components that provide entertaining and engaging methods of disseminating history.
