Read All About It: Getting the Most Out of Newspaper Research "Lunch and Learn" (Adults) In-Person

Bring your lunch and join us for this free "Lunch and Learn" session!

Presenter: Kathryn Hirons Kesterson, Professional Genealogist, Hoosier Kin Genealogy Services

Program Description:

Newspaper research can significantly enhance genealogical research in various ways. Finding an ancestor's name in a newspaper can pinpoint their location at a specific time, helping to piece together their story. Beyond birth, marriage, and death announcements, you might find mentions in classified notices, property records, and social event notices, offering clues for further research into court records, deeds, and passenger manifests. In this presentation, we will explore over 20 strategies to maximize the benefits of newspaper research.
