Scarecrow Festival (All Ages) In-Person
Food! Games! Music! Scarecrows!
Free fun for all ages!
- Take the Scarecrow Walk around the garden and then vote for your favorite Scarecrow Contest entries! (Learn more about the Scarecrow Contest below.)
- Hot dogs and cider at the Kitchen Pavilion while supplies last!
- Photo opportunities! Games!
- Live music! Take a seat and enjoy the show!
- Don’t miss the MPL Staff Scarecrow Contest inside the library!
Musical Talent Schedule:
- Ric Dwenger and Gary Andry on Banjo and Guitar, showtime at 1pm
- The Murrell Family performing as The Steampunks, showtime at 3pm and 4pm

Scarecrow Contest Guidelines:
- Scarecrows should be hand made by the participants
- Scarecrows should be life sized
- Each scarecrow must have a vertical support for the body
- Scarecrow should be durable to stand up to sun, wind, and rain
- All decorations must be attached to your scarecrow
- All scarecrows and registration forms must be received by Saturday, October 2 at 11am at Maring-Hunt Library. Download the registration form and rules in the box below, or pick up a copy at any MPL location.
