He Built This City: The Muncie Architecture of Cuno Kibele (Adults) In-Person
Cuno Kibele was one of the most important architects in the history of Muncie. His firm, Kibele and Garrard, built many of the finest residential, commercial, academic, and civic buildings in the city, with Kibele himself practicing his craft from around 1895 to 1927. Ball Gymnasium, Ball Memorial Hospital, the Delaware County Country Club, and the Muncie Masonic Temple are some of his most recognizable projects. This program will tell the story of Cuno Kibele's architectural impact on the city and detail his broader connection to Muncie history using maps, original architectural drawings, photographs, manuscripts, and other documents and records.
